Has it been asw hot where you are as it’s been here? It’s been hot hot. Like sticky hot.
It’s also been a great reading month! I got both work and personal reads in, both fiction and nonfiction, physical books and audio. It’s been a variety month for sure.

What are you Currently Reading?
I just started Tricia and Nathan Goyer’s Flight of Fate, the second book in their Clockwork Chronicles series.
It’s been a little while since I read the first book, but I love how the Goyer’s mash up a steampunk WWII with Jewish lore and legend. I’m only a few chapters in, but this one has threads of ancient artifacts, Pompeii (which I love), Italy, and the mafia? So, I’m super excited to see where this goes!
What did you recently Finish Reading?
I just finished The Restitching of Camille DuLaine by Lindsay Franklin.
This sequel to The Unraveling of Emlyn DuLaine has been on my TBR since I first read Emlyn last year. I was supposed to read it when it released earlier this year, but life plans threw me for a loop–as it sometimes does.
That said, I’m finally getting around to some of the books I was so excited for earlier this year and GUYS this one was SOOOO goood! I knew it would be but also, it tore me up! A delightful, fantastical, and wild adventure through some much beloved story territory. This one may be a contender for favorite of the year!

I’m looking forward to getting to Worlds Collide by Clint Hall very soon!
This little sci fi number was not on the bingo card–literally–for the year, but I’ve heard nothing but praise from people I deeply trust and the premise sounds incredible. I’m a sucker for a good clan story. I’m definitely looking forward to this one and really hoping I can get to it this upcoming month!
Favorite Read of the Month
My favorite read of the month–to no one’s surprise, I’m sure–was The Restitching of Camille DuLaine. But since you can see my thoughts on that above, a close second was Flashback by Shannon Messenger.
This is the seventh book in the Keeper of the Lost Cities series. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every book in this series so far–and there aren’t a ton of series I can say that about. Admittedly, this wasn’t my favorite in the series, but it did have some developments I’ve been very excited for! I’m so ready to keep going in the series, but I’ll pause briefly to get through my current reads, an upcoming ARC, and long enough to write up the review so I don’t get mixed up when trying to review book eight later XD
