So, it’s been a hot minute since I did a tag challenge and I thought it would be fun to do one! Feel free to do the challenge yourself!
I originally found the challenge here on Kate’s blog Once Upon an Ordinary and I always thought this would be a fun one to do. 🙂
So, for this challenge, I have to find a book on my shelves that fits each category! I’m also doing my best not to repeat authors or series, but we’ll see if I can achieve that goal.
Here we go!
1. Do you have a book with tattered edges?

This poor book is taped together it’s so weathered XD I love this thing <3 Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine is classic.
2. Do you have a book with 3+ people on the cover?

Beauty Beheld by Brittany Fichter is the final book in her Becoming Beauty trilogy. This one uses her Beauty and the Beast characters in a Hansel and Gretel retelling that is super awesome! I think this is the only book I have with 3+ characters on the cover except like, Little Women or some of my Boxcar Children books.
3. Do you have a book based on another fictional story?

4. Do you have a book with a title 10 letters long?
5. Do you have a book with a title that starts and ends with the same letter?

Okay, this one was actually really hard! I have so many books that start with “The” Oi! But I finally found one! Torrent by Lisa T. Bergren!
6. Do you have a mass market paperback book?

So, I actually own all (but the last one, I think) of these Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys Super Mysteries. I LOVE them! And they are mass market produced. They’re a good little size. I’m not really sure why mmp gets so much hate. Anyway, I chose Operation Titanic because it was my first Nancy Drew book <3
7. Do you have a book written by an author using a pen name?

Literally every Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys book I own? XD Mm, this one was kind of hard for me to find since I didn’t want to reuse ND/HB. But then I realized, unless like using your initials instead of your full name counts (like A. G. Marshall or C. S. Lewis), I don’t actually know if I have any books written under a pen name–that I’m aware of anyway. So, I just picked a Franklin W. Dixon book to be safe, since I know that’s a pen name. Again, I own several of these, but The Tower Treasure is the first.
8. Do you have a book with a character’s name in the title?

I’ve actually got quite a few of these, surprisingly. But since I adored this one so much, I’m going with Romanov by Nadine Brandes, which was amazing. It’s quickly become one of my favorite books!!
9. Do you have a book with 2 maps in it?

Do I? I thought this one might have got me, but then I realized how silly that was since I’m such a major fantasy nerd XD This book, An Atlas of Tolkien by David Day, is a really cool Tolkien nerd book with lots of really beautiful maps (and other epic content and art) in it!
10. Do you have a book that was turned into a TV show?
I do have a collection of Sherlock Holmes short stories, which would be a perfectly viable answer. However, I wanted to be a dork and pull out a series that most people have no idea existed or turned into a television series at one point XD So, I used to love The Animorphs by K. A. Applegate as a kid, and I do own several of them, including the first one titled The Invasion. Really fun series!
11. Do you have a book written by someone who is originally famous for something else? (Celebrity/Athlete/Politician/TV Personality…)
Dave Ramsey may or may not count for this. He’s famous for his radio show, now titled The Ramsey Show, and for being a financial expert. But he’s written several books, too. The Total Money Makeover is probably his most well known book. It’s a great read. Practical, down to earth, and really inspirational.
12. Do you have a book with a clock on the cover?
Ooh, so I actually found a few of these on my shelves! (So I like time travel? XD) I picked two for this one. Sapphire Blue by Kerstin Gier because I love this cover!! And Dust by Kara Swanson because it isn’t time travel and it was just an amazing book!! Plus the cover won an award-rightfully so!
13. Do you have a poetry book?
Heh…I actually have several XD Let’s go with Robert Frost’s Selected Poems edition I have cause the cover is really pretty, plus “Nothing Gold Can Stay” is just one of my favorites!
14. Do you have a book with an award stamp on it?

*coughs* I may or may not have a slight obsession with the Newbery Award books…so…I have a whole stack of them XD And they’re sooo good! The Giver by Lois Lowry is one of my favorite books!
15. Do you have a book written by an author with the same initials as you?
16. Do you have a book of short stories?

I had several of these, too, oddly enough. I love all of the bonus content and companion novels 🙂 But I do actually own a book of Great American Short Stories by various classic authors.
17. Do you have a book that is in between 500-510 pages?

18. Do you have a book that was turned into a movie?
Why, yes, yes I do. Many, in fact. Many. Some have been turned into films many times over. Divergent, Insurgent, The Hunger Games trilogy, Inkheart, Because of Winn-Dixie, Ella Enchanted, Eragon, LOTR, The Chronicles of Narnia, basically every Jane Austen book ever, Austenland, North and South, Little Women, Stormbreaker, Bridge to Terabithia, The Westing Game, A Wrinkle in Time, The Tale of Despereaux, Number the Stars, The Giver, Wonder, shall I continue? XD Evidently I have tons of these. But…isn’t it sad how few of them manage to translate to the screen particularly well?
So, I guess I’m going with The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe because I actually liked how that film turned out <3 It was very well done.
19. Do you have a graphic novel?
Actually!! Unlike the prior question, I literally own one graphic novel–not a huge graphic novel fan. But this one is by one of my favorite authors, so Rapunzel’s Revenge by Shannon Hale! (Ooh, actually, I had to go back and edit this, because I now own two graphic novels! I got the graphic novel edition of The Giver for Christmas!)
20. Do you have a book written by 2 or more authors?
Do Hard Things is a nonfiction book for teens written by twins Alex and Brett Harris. Stellar read. Super motivating. Can’t recommend it more highly.
Alright, folks! That does it! Whew! Some of those were a little difficult! But we made it XD And there was only one category I couldn’t fill *wipes tears*
Well, that was fun! At least for me 😀 I haven’t done a tag in ages. Let me know below what you think! Have you read any of these? Should I do more tags again?
I’d love to see how you would fill in these categories from your library! If you choose to do the tag, let me know so I can check it out!

Ooh, this was fun! I create book bingos every year based on odd categories like these, so I’ll have to add some of these ideas in the future! (But sorry, I don’t know any CT authors off the top of my head…)
