Welcome to our January 2023 WWWednesday! The first of the New Year!

You may have noticed that I again did not post book reviews this month. I actually ended up taking an impromptu break from social media and haven’t touched my blog at all in the last three weeks. It’s been refreshing, but I’m excited to start getting back into the routine of things in February. And I definitely got to spend some of that extra time reading!

How has your month been? What have you read lately? Anything good? Are you looking for something new to read? Don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know what you’re reading this month, too!

What is WWW Wednesday?

WWW Wednesday is a book meme originally created by A Daily Rhythm and revived by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, simply answer the following questions every Wednesday:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Here on GraceBought, we’ve been doing these once a month. The idea is for a quick, easy post that keeps you guys in the loop and me involved on a regular basis!

So, without further ado, here is our next WWW Wednesday!

WWWednesday #43

What are you currently reading?

My first nonfiction book of the year is Jaquelle Crowe Ferris’s This Changes Everything: How the Gospel Transforms the Teen Years.

Thoughts: I’ve been working with Jaquelle for a few years now, but I never came across her book until someone gifted it to me last year for Christmas. I’ve been excited to read it for the last year and I’m finally doing it! And it’s really been an encouragement to me. It’s a quick, easy read, but it’s also convicting and balances refreshing reminders with the challenge to dig deeper in your faith.

What did you recently finish reading?

I just finished bingeing Melanie Cellier’s Spoken Mage series and the fourth book was Voice of Life.

Thoughts: So I totally chugged through the last three books of this series. They sucked me in and especially this final book. Man, the last half of this book was a whirlwind! I read them so quickly I haven’t reviewed books 2-4 yet, but I’m hoping to get to that soon XD

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m considering reading the companion novel to the Spoken Mage books, Power of Pen and Voice.

Thoughts: I enjoyed the previous four books so much that I was thinking about going ahead and diving into the companion standalone novel while the world is fresh in my brain. These were not the two characters I thought this would follow, but I’m excited about it and pleasantly surprised (also, pretty intrigued XD).

Well, that’s a wrap for this WWW Wednesday! And this year! Let me know what you think below!

Have you read any of the books above? What did you think? What books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading? How do you make time for reading in busy seasons? I’d love to hear any tips you can share below!

Until next time!
