Welcome to our April 2022 WWWednesday!

Hey, guys! Another month in the books! My April has been a precarious balance of lots of work projects and learning to pause and breathe and appreciate the delicate nature of being still and resting. So I’ve been dedicating more intentional time to mindfully enjoying restful things, like dancing and reading 😀 I’ve hit a few fun reading goals, like reading some books I wanted to read, catching up on some nonfiction reads, and trying a few new authors!

How has your month been? What have you read lately? Anything good? Are you looking for something new to read? Don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know what you’re reading this month, too!

What is WWW Wednesday?

WWW Wednesday is a book meme originally created by A Daily Rhythm and revived by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, simply answer the following questions every Wednesday:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Here on GraceBought, we’ve been doing these once a month. The idea is for a quick, easy post that keeps you guys in the loop and me involved on a regular basis!

So, without further ado, here is our next WWW Wednesday!

WWWednesday #34

What are you currently reading?

I’m buddy reading the Chronicles of Narnia with two friends of mine who have never finished the series! (I’m so excited for them to read these books for the first time!!) We’re currently on Prince Caspian, so while I re-read this beloved book, I’m about to dive into Inside Prince Caspian by Devin Brown.

Thoughts: Prince Caspian is possibly my favorite in the series and reading Inside Narnia which walked through The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was an excellent resource, so I’m really looking forward to diving into this one!

What did you recently finish reading?

I picked up Morgan Busse’s Secrets in the Mist because I heard her speak at a conference last month and the way she spoke about writing, characters, and themes spellbound me. I knew I just needed to see more of her work and really get to know her characters for myself.

Thoughts: I’ll post my full thoughts Monday, but this was such a pleasant surprise and a breath of fresh air. I’m upset and 100% looking forward to the conclusion to the series. This was such a unique world with such fun characters and I’m definitely going to have to check out more of Busse’s work.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I think because I just got out of a steampunk world, I’ve been itching to finish Nadine Brandes’s Out of Time trilogy, so I’m planning to pick A Time to Speak up next!

Thoughts: The first book in this trilogy was an experience in and of itself for me. (You can see my thoughts on A Time to Die here!) I’ve been wanting to finish this series, but I also heard Book 2 was emotionally hard–and the end of Book 1 was too! So, I think I’m finally ready to prioritize this again and I’m looking forward to seeing this story continue

Well, that’s a wrap for this WWW Wednesday! Let me know what you think below!

Have you read any of the books above? What did you think? What books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading? How do you make time for reading in busy seasons? I’d love to hear any tips you can share below!

Until next time!
