Happy June, friends!
It’s officially summer! Anyone else enjoying the sunshine and warmth? I love the summer storms, too. And summer can be a great time to read something fun, light, or different from normal.
I didn’t read a ton this month, but I did still get it a handful of great books – a classic, a reread, and even a few new ones
How about you? How was your month? I’d love to know what you’ve read lately! If there was something particularly good or a book you’re excited about, I’d love to hear about it! Leave a comment below to let me know what you’re reading this month!
If you’re new to WWWednesdays, you can learn more about how it works here!
What are you Currently Reading?
I’ve just barely begun rereading The Screwtape Letters by C. S. Lewis.

This is an absolute classic. Certainly one of my favorite books by Lewis. A few ladies at my church have expressed interest in reading the book as a group, and it’s been several years since my last read through, so I’m very much looking forward to this!
What did you recently Finish Reading?
I just finished Morgan Busse’s next book in her Nordic Wars trilogy, Winter’s Chill.

Y’all know I love a good Morgan L. Busse book! I was so excited and thankful to receive an ARC for this – you can preorder it now and it comes out in August!
I’ve so greatly loved this world and these characters and their great hearts. This sequel felt a little less action-packed and slower paced, but not necessarily in a bad way. It focused on the characters growing and preparing for the battle to come. But boy! That ending had me on the edge of my seat!
What do you think you’ll read next?
Next, I may dive into Peter Brown’s very popular The Wild Robot.

I’ve heard such good things about this little MG everywhere. It looks cute and I definitely enjoy a little robot action when it’s good. I certainly hope it lives up to the hype! I even rewatched WallE to get in the mood for it!
Favorite Read of the Month
It’s incredibly hard not to choose LOTR as the favorite anytime it’s in the running. And The Return of the King is a powerful conclusion.

Again, what does one say about such an absolute classic? Listening to Andy Serkis’s narration for the audiobook was a true delight. All of the strings come together in the conclusion and my heart just weeps – both for joy and for the bittersweetness of it all. Guess it’s time for a movie marathon rewatch!

And that it for this WWWednesday!
Have you read any of the these books? I’d love to hear what books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading!
Until next time! Happy reading, friends!
