Not only is it February, but it’s our first WWWednesday on the new website!
What do you guys think? Do you like the new playground? I love it!!
This month, I’ve been more focused on getting the last of the WordPress blog threads all tied up, but I still managed to get through a handful of good books!
How about you? How was your month? I’d love to know what you’ve read lately! If there was something particularly good or a book you’re excited about, I’d love to hear about it! Leave a comment below to let me know what you’re reading this month!
If you’re new to WWWednesdays, you can learn more about how it works here!
What are you Currently Reading?
I am currently reading the first book in the Nightingale Trilogy by J. J. Fischer, Calor.

I have been greatly enjoying this one so far! The magic system is super intriguing and the plot keeps you guessing. I’m not at all sure how it will end. The setting is a grungy, but unique post-apocalyptic kind of world, and the characters have been a lot of fun, too. I’m definitely looking forward to getting to know them more.
What did you recently finish reading?
The last book I finished was the classic, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, by L. Frank Baum.

Honestly, this isn’t my favorite classic, but I wanted to give it another shot since I haven’t read it since I was a very small kid (where, really, my mother read it to me and my brother). It’s beloved by many and there are parts of it I do enjoy. A fun adventure in a vibrant world.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m super excited to buddy read House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig with my bestie!

This one’s been on the TBR for sooo long, but Cassie and I wanted to read it together and I think our schedules are finally lining up so that we can! I’m a huge 12 Dancing Princesses fan and a huge fan of books set by or in the sea, so this just sounds like it’s going to be right up my alley – here’s to hoping!
Favorite Read of the Month
And as a fun bonus, we’re adding in a new segment here!
Though there are technically still a few days left in the month, this has been my favorite read of the month so far!

This was a stunning read! It’s a large part of the reason why I wanted to reread The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but I must say I personally loved Franklin’s take on Oz. That said, Oz played a pretty small part in this overall page-turning adventure. Emlyn’s story kept me engaged from page one til the very end, and I cannot wait to see the cast of characters again in the sequel!

And that it for this WWWednesday!
Have you read any of the these books? I’d love to hear what books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading!
Until next time! Happy reading, friends!
