Welcome to our April 2023 WWWednesday!

April has felt a little topsy turvy for me–and I’m honestly not quite sure why! I’ve struggled to get out of the March reading slump, but have also been reading more. So, progress, right?

How has your month been? What have you read lately? Anything good? Are you looking for something new to read? Don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know what you’re reading this month, too!

What is WWW Wednesday?

WWW Wednesday is a book meme originally created by A Daily Rhythm and revived by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, simply answer the following questions every Wednesday:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Here on GraceBought, we’ve been doing these once a month. The idea is for a quick, easy post that keeps you guys in the loop and me involved on a regular basis!

So, without further ado, here is our next WWW Wednesday!

WWWednesday #46

What are you currently reading?

I finally finished re-reading Inkspell, so now I’m reading Inkdeath for the first time! (By Cornelia Funke.) I’m also reading Take Back Your Time by Christy Wright for my current NF read.

Thoughts: I’m so stinking stoked to finally finish the Inkworld trilogy after all these years, but also mildly terrified after rereading Inkspell that it’s going to be traumatic XD I’ve heard Christy speak before (on this topic even) and this isn’t my first book of hers either, but I’ve really enjoyed the clarity, heart, and practicality in Take Back Your Time so far. It’s been a very easy and an encouraging read!

What did you recently finish reading?

I’ve been going through the Disney Fairies series to help get me out of the reading slump from March. I started with re-reading Gail Carson Levine’s Fairies and the Quest for Neverland (since I’d reread the first two in the trilogy somewhat recently). And I just finished A Masterpiece for Bess in the chapter book series.

Thoughts: I have loved these books since they came out. I ate them up when I was a kid. GCL is one of my childhood favorite authors and she crafted such a unique, magical world. And Disney actually did a good job with these chapter books, unlike some of their other stuff in my opinion. These have been such a lighthearted, encouraging, and magical escape into moments of rest in my otherwise chaotic schedule.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next in the list of Disney Fairies books is Prilla and the Butterfly Lie!

Thoughts: Guys, the artwork in these is just unbelievable. And the colors and the covers. The glitter and the colors! I just adore these. I’m so glad my 2023 Reading Challenge has allowed me to go back through books like this that hold such a special place in my heart. And I’d honestly forgotten how each of these little books follows the titular fairy through a challenge and change. It’s been cool to see their growth as characters and the example these characters are to kids!

Well, that’s a wrap for this WWW Wednesday! Let me know what you think below!

Have you read any of the books above? What did you think? What books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading? How do you make time for reading in busy seasons? I’d love to hear any tips you can share below!

Until next time!

P. S. Stay tuned tomorrow for a special Writing Update!
