Welcome to our December 2022 WWWednesday!

I know I haven’t posted book reviews this month, and I’m sorry about that. There were just too many other things I needed to prioritize this month, but just because I’ve been a little quiet doesn’t mean I didn’t get some good reading in. So, I still wanted to take a moment to get our WWWednesday in. And tomorrow I’ll post my 2022 reading recap 😉 So stay tuned for that.

How has your month been? What have you read lately? Anything good? Are you looking for something new to read? Don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know what you’re reading this month, too!

What is WWW Wednesday?

WWW Wednesday is a book meme originally created by A Daily Rhythm and revived by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, simply answer the following questions every Wednesday:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Here on GraceBought, we’ve been doing these once a month. The idea is for a quick, easy post that keeps you guys in the loop and me involved on a regular basis!

So, without further ado, here is our next WWW Wednesday!

WWWednesday #42

What are you currently reading?

As the year comes to a close, I am wrapping up A Year With Aslan: Daily Reflections from The Chronicles of Narnia.

Thoughts: I found this 365 day devotional in a used book shop and the timing turned out perfectly! I didn’t realize it until about 3/4 the way through the year, but as I’ve mentioned throughout the year, I’ve been buddy reading The Chronicles of Narnia with two friends of mine. We finally finished the series earlier this month, but these daily reflections have really complimented that journey.

What did you recently finish reading?

I just finished Hansel and the Gingerbread Queen by Lea Doue, the 6th book in the Villains Ever After series.

Thoughts: I’ve been avoiding this book, though I want to finish the series, because Hansel and Gretel is one of my least favorite fairy tales. But this one actually surprised me. It was an sweet, enjoyable read and I’m really glad it was part of the series. In fact, it may be my favorite in the series so far! But I’ll have to keep reading to find out 😉

What do you think you’ll read next?

I recently finished Voice of Power by Melanie Cellier and so I’d like to read the second one, Voice of Command to see what happens next!

Thoughts: I needed a fun read and I’ve been meaning to get to this series since Melanie put them out. I can always depend on her for an adventurous, uplifting read. And surprise of surprises! There’s a character with MY NAME in this series!!! *gasp* Guys! Seriously! I’ve only once read a character with my name (cause I won a giveaway to be a side character in one of Ficther’s books–and don’t get me wrong, that was so cool!), but this was one of the main characters and she was a lot of fun. 😀 So, I’m also looking forward to seeing more of her, as well as figuring out what happens next!

Have you read any of the books above? What did you think? What books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading? How do you make time for reading in busy seasons? I’d love to hear any tips you can share below!

Until next time!
