Welcome to the February 2021 WWWednesday!
Trudging right along through the year! It’s almost Spring! And I already feel like I’m falling behind XD I recently decided I wanted to try a new tactic: reading before bed. Maybe if I read for half an hour most nights I’ll manage to fit reading back into my crazy schedule! I’ve also been doing some re-reading lately via audio books 😉
What have you read lately? Anything good? Are you looking for something new to read? Don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know what you’re reading this month, too!
What is WWW Wednesday?
WWW Wednesday is a book meme originally created by A Daily Rhythm and revived by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, simply answer the following questions every Wednesday:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Here on GraceBought, we’ve been doing these once a month. The idea is for a quick, easy post that keeps you guys in the loop and me involved on a regular basis!
So, without further ado, here is our next WWW Wednesday!
WWWednesday #20
What are you currently reading?
I’ve been going back through the Ascendance trilogy so that I can read the fourth book that came out last year (super excited!) So, I just started re-reading the second book, The Runaway King, by Jennifer A. Nielsen.
Thoughts: Honestly, this is one of my absolute favorite series! Sage is classic and one of the best characters in literature. And since I have struggled to make time to read lately, I’ve been listening to the audio books this time around. I’m really enjoying the narrator! But four chapters into the book, I was like “Why are you torturing yourself?!!?” This book tugs at the emotions!! One of the reasons I love it so much is for how clever and heartfelt it is! Adventure! Action! Pirates! Thieves! And a whole lot of cunning planning! <3
What did you recently finish reading?
The last thing I finished was the audio book for Prince Caspian by the one and only C. S. Lewis!
Thoughts: The Chronicles of Narnia are purely brilliant. Absolute classics. And, again, since I’ve been listening to audiobooks while I work, I decided to pick up this one since it’s so nostalgic for me. I struggle to choose favorites in this series (pssshhh, I struggle to choose favorites period!), but Caspian is certainly one of them!
What do you think you’ll read next?
So, last year was kinda insane, right? Well, I only made it partway through one of the Bible studies my women’s Bible study group started last year, so I figured I’d pick that back up and finally finish it. So technically I’m already partway through Jude by Jackie Hill Perry, but it is one I do plan to target finishing next.
Thoughts: I honestly don’t remember what moved me to set this one down, presumably some life fire to put out. But I’ve started looking back over it this past week while my Nehemiah study was on pause for a week, and I’m really excited about finishing it actually! Jude is a short letter, but Perry is really good at unpacking things and has you digging around all over the Bible to put the pieces together and draw even more treasure out of the short letter.
~~~
Well, that’s a wrap for this WWW Wednesday! Let me know what you think below!
Have you read any of the books above? What did you think? What books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading? How do you make time for reading in busy seasons? I’d love to hear any tips you can share below!
Until next time!
