Happy April!
Spring is solidly here! I hope you’ve been enjoying more warmth and sunshine – unless, of course, you’re in the other hemisphere…
This has been a very full month of some really cool things for me – I got to mark off two bucket list items in one day and see two once-in-a-lifetime concerts in one week. Travelled to a few different states – one to see my best friend and the other a road trip with my baby sis. I even managed to squeeze in a morning on a white sand beach (for those who don’t know, I am a beach bum through and through, living in a landlocked state, so this was a perfect morning of peace – and I did, in fact, spend it reading!).
I had another fantastic work read this month, and honestly, it may be my favorite read of the year – see more below!
What about you? How was your month? I’d love to know what you’ve read lately! If there was something particularly good or a book you’re excited about, do tell! Leave a comment below to let me know what you’re reading this month!
If you’re new to WWWednesdays, you can learn more about how it works here!
What are you Currently Reading?
Gail Carson Levine’s classic Ella Enchanted.

This comes as a surprise to literally no one, but I adore this book. It comes around as a reread every couple of years and I landed on a Bookopoly space that this will fit so it was a hand’s down choice. I’ve been relishing reading this one a little slowly this go around and just enjoying being in it.
What did you recently Finish Reading?
The last book I finished was the upcoming novel Karabos by Lyndsey Lewellen.

This cover is soooo pretty! And the story inside was realllly good. It was SO hard to put down! This book made me want to see what else Lewellen has written. The magic system was like nothing I’ve seen before and the group dynamics of the cast were a lot of fun. I loved the competition/time travel plot, too. And I can’t wait to see what happens in the conclusion!
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m looking at What My Bones Know by Stephanie Foo for my next read.

Head’s up: this one has content many readers may be uncomfortable with including strong language, violence, and abuse.
My sister bought me this for Christmas and she’s been really excited to talk with me about it, so I’m hoping to finish this one next. I’m very curious about the author’s journey of healing from childhood trauma and really hoping there’s a thread of hope through what I know will be a difficult and dark read in some places.
Favorite Read of the Month
Childhood favorite reread (Ella Enchanted) aside, my favorite of the month has been Karabos by Lyndsey Lewellen.

I genuinely thought Of Dawn and Embers was going to be my 2026 favorite read of the year (the first two books were my favorite the years I read them), but this book was such a delight to read that it’s definitely been my favorite this year so far.

And that it for this WWWednesday!
Have you read any of the these books? I’d love to hear what books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading!
Until next time!
