Welcome to our March WWWednesday!
Can you believe it’s almost April already? The year is flyyying by.
Between some personal stuff and some work edits, reading was slow again for me this month. I’m a little behind on my annual goals, but the year is young!
What about you? How was your month? I’d love to know what you’ve read lately! If there was something particularly good or a book you’re excited about, do tell! Leave a comment below to let me know what you’re reading this month!
If you’re new to WWWednesdays, you can learn more about how it works here!
What are you Currently Reading?
I just started Beyond the Scene by Myeongseok Kang.

As a musician, I love good music and I have a fairy ecclectic taste. But until recently, I’d never tried K-pop. My younger sister loves BTS and so I decided to start there. And turns out, I like their music, too. When I learned they had a biography, I thought I’d check it out to learn more about their story since they’ve broken so many records and had such an impact on the music industry.
While I’m only a few chapters in, their story really has been very interesting so far. I’m looking forward to learning more!
What did you recently Finish Reading?
I recently finished The Lost Legend by S. D. Smith, the second book in the Green Ember: Lost Tales series.

Hey look! A work read I can talk about now! 😀 The Lost Legend is available to order next month, but now that it’s been announced I can show you the pretty cover!
I didn’t find the Green Ember books until I was an adult, but these are fantastic stories – both for kids and adults, in my opinion, but they’re written for middle grade readers.
I love the muted fallish colors in the covers for this series and I also really enjoy that the plot in this one deals with a mysterious conspiracy the heroes must root out. It’s a great continuation from the first book and definitely worth checking out if you like MG or inspiring stories of nobility with a mystery flavor.
What do you think you’ll read next?
For my next read, I’m thinking about tackling some Magic Tree House books by Mary Pope Osborne. The first one in the series is Dinosaurs Before Dark.

One of my annual reading goals is to reread through the Magic Tree House series. I read so many of these as a kid. Honestly, I adored these stories. I know there are a few I likely never got to, but I’m not entirely sure which ones. There are many of them I do remember, but I definitely didn’t read them all in order, so I thought it would be a fun goal to infuse some joy in my reading this year.
Since I’ve had a fair bit of work reading (aka editing) and a bit of a difficult season with health stuff, I thought now might be a good time to start on these since they’re short and light. I do know I’ve read Dinosaurs Before Dark, so it’ll be good to kick off the series with a reread!
Favorite Read of the Month
My favorite of the month has been, shocker, Of Dawn and Embers by Gillian Bronte Adams, the final book in the Fireborn Epic.

I know no one could possibly have predicted this. I’ve been so looking forward to this conclusion. Due to some personal circumstances, it took longer to get to than I’d hoped, but it was still so worth it! A most excellent way to end the beloved Fireborn Epic series.
The themes, characters, world, and story all come together to a head in Of Dawn and Embers and it was so worth the wait! Full review to come!

And that it for this WWWednesday!
Have you read any of the these books? I’d love to hear what books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading!
Until next time!
