Welcome to the December 2021 WWWednesday!
I know I normally post these in the evenings, but I have a special surprise for you guys that I’m posting tonight, so I scheduled this post for the morning. Surprise! You get two posts today! XD
It’s the final week of the year! Happy New Year! And Merry belated Christmas! I hope you enjoyed time with loved ones and took time to rest, too.
How did you do?! Did you hit your reading goals? I’ve got 1.5 books left to read by the end of the week! I think I can do it XD
What have you read lately? Anything good? Are you looking for something new to read? Don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know what you’re reading this month, too!
What is WWW Wednesday?
WWW Wednesday is a book meme originally created by A Daily Rhythm and revived by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, simply answer the following questions every Wednesday:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Here on GraceBought, we’ve been doing these once a month. The idea is for a quick, easy post that keeps you guys in the loop and me involved on a regular basis!
So, without further ado, here is our next WWW Wednesday!
WWWednesday #30
What are you currently reading?
I’ve got one book left to read this year (aside from finishing The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe) so yesterday I just picked up a new-to-me book by a new-to-me author, Merlin: The Lost Years by T. A. Barron.
Thoughts: I’m literally on page 1, but I’ve heard some good things about this series and I do love Arthurian legend! I picked this one up off my shelf because I’ve been doing a lot of scheduled reading, books I needed to read (many of which were still enjoyable!) and I just wanted one random book for fun to read. I’m definitely curious to see how this one turns out! I hope it’s good!
What did you recently finish reading?
The last book I finished was Ellen Raskin’s Newbery Award Winning, The Westing Game.
Thoughts: I read this one fifteen years ago, and remembered really enjoying it, but not much else. So, I decided to listen to the audiobook and reread it to see if I’d still like it. And, review to come soon, but it was really good. I now remember why I’ve kept it on my shelf all these years and why I loved it so much as a kid. I’m a sucker for a good mystery and this quirky tale is clever and full of intrigue.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Hmm, this is a good question. As the new year starts, it’s like a fresh reset on reading things! I’ll definitely start The Horse and His Boy by Lewis once my friends and I finish buddy reading the LWW (we’re going for gold and reading all seven!). But aside from that, I may pick up Bluebeard and the Outlaw to continue the Villain’s Ever After series or I may see where this Merlin book takes me and read the sequel, The Seven Songs.
Thoughts: The Chronicles of Narnia are classics, I’ve always said. And totally worth re-reading regularly. The Villain’s Ever After series of novellas has been cute so far, so I definitely want to go through some of those, and that may be a good choice for January, which is a busy work month, since it’s shorter. And I’m really hoping these Merlin books are good, so I may have to dive into book 2 directly after book 1 since I found it in a thrift shop!

Well, that’s a wrap for this WWW Wednesday and for the whole year! Let me know what you think below!
Have you read any of the books above? What did you think? What books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading? How do you make time for reading in busy seasons? I’d love to hear any tips you can share below!
Until next time!
