Welcome to the October 2021 WWWednesday!
How are we doing on goals? We’ve got a few months left! Let’s push through this! I ended up adjusting my yearly goal from 60 books down to 50. I’m still even a few books behind that goal at the moment, but only 2 behind and sometimes there are just seasons that require attention elsewhere. I’m still proud I’m going to hit my minimum of 50.
How about you guys? Have you ever had to adjust a goal? What was that like for you?
What have you read lately? Anything good? Are you looking for something new to read? Don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know what you’re reading this month, too!
What is WWW Wednesday?
WWW Wednesday is a book meme originally created by A Daily Rhythm and revived by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, simply answer the following questions every Wednesday:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Here on GraceBought, we’ve been doing these once a month. The idea is for a quick, easy post that keeps you guys in the loop and me involved on a regular basis!
So, without further ado, here is our next WWW Wednesday!
WWWednesday #28
What are you currently reading?
I’m currently reading Mere Christianity by the one and only C. S. Lewis!
Thoughts: I’ve read this one before several years ago, and now the Author Conservatory Nonfiction Track is studying the book together as a cohort, so I’m excited to go through the book more methodologically. Lewis is classic. He’s clever, logical, heartfelt, and downright funny. I absolutely recommend this read.
What did you recently finish reading?
The last book I finished was Restoration Story: Why Jesus Matters in a Broken World by Robert K. Cheong.
Thoughts: My intent was to post my review this past Monday, but life threw a curveball my way. I received this as an ARC from the publisher and definitely have some mixed thoughts, but I’ll reserve the details for my review. Keep an eye out!
What do you think you’ll read next?
As I’ve clearly been digging into a lot of nonfiction lately, to provide a little contrast, I’m planning to buddy read The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale with one of my friends.
Thoughts: If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know I adore this book! I’ve been thinking about re-reading it for a while now (specifically because I’m studying the craft of writing and Hale’s prose is beautiful). But my friend, Jenny, has never read the book and got a copy of it in a book exchange we did at Realm Makers this summer, so we’re going to read it together!

Well, that’s a wrap for this WWW Wednesday! Let me know what you think below!
Have you read any of the books above? What did you think? What books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading? How do you make time for reading in busy seasons? I’d love to hear any tips you can share below!
Until next time!
