Welcome to the May 2021 WWWednesday!
Hah, so I realize today isn’t Wednesday. But y’all wouldn’t believe me if I told you how my Wednesday went XD So, here we are a day late! I hope you can forgive me đ And, I actually got a few books read this month to boot! So, without further ado…
What have you read lately? Anything good? Are you looking for something new to read? Don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know what you’re reading this month, too!
What is WWW Wednesday?
WWW Wednesday is a book meme originally created by A Daily Rhythm and revived by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, simply answer the following questions every Wednesday:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think youâll read next?
Here on GraceBought, we’ve been doing these once a month. The idea is for a quick, easy post that keeps you guys in the loop and me involved on a regular basis!
So, without further ado, here is our next WWW Wednesday!
WWWednesday #23
What are you currently reading?
I’m currently reading (well, listening to) Torrent by Lisa Tawn Bergren, the third book in her River of Time trilogy.Â
Thoughts: I’ve been meaning to finish this trilogy for like two or three years XD And thanks to my newish willingness to check into audio books, I’m actually getting to it! I listened to the first two books to recap and am now in the beginning of this one. So far, I’m enjoying it. I like the story, but I’m curious to see where we go from here!
What did you recently finish reading?
I just finished Brittany Fichter’s The Sentinel’s Song! Look at this cover, guys!Â
Thoughts:Â The Sentinel’s Song is now out! Go check it ooouuuttt!! I’ll be posting a review soon, but there were some really cool parts of this book for sure. Fichter is one of my favorites <3
What do you think you’ll read next?
I know I had this one listed last month, but I chose to read The Sentinel’s Song first instead because it was an ARC. So, my writing group is actually finishing up Romanov by Nadine Brandes this week. RIP. But I’m still thinking about reading it and just being uber late to the party XD
Thoughts: I love the story of Anastasia, so I’m really excited about this one!! I’ve heard such good things about it. My friends are like “Read it so we can talk about it!!” And, I figure why not read it soon since I’m expecting to go to RM and meet Nadine!
~~~
Well, that’s a wrap for this WWW Wednesday! Let me know what you think below!
Have you read any of the books above? What did you think? What books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading? How do you make time for reading in busy seasons? I’d love to hear any tips you can share below!
-Sarah
P.S. How do I make time for reading in busy seasons? welp. we just won’t talk about how long I’ve been reading some of the books I’m reading right now. *hides* I wanna hear the tips too!!
Hey, girlie!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Oh, wow, the WWII book I’m going to have to check into! I haven’t heard of the N.D. Wilson book, but I have heard of Wilson. And I’ve only done one Jen Wilkin study, but I would LOVE to do more by her!
I’m very excited about Romanov! I just read my first Nadine book and I am TORN UP! But I guess I’m a glutton for pain cause I’m going back in XD Have you read any of her other books?
Hah! Girl! I FEEL you! It’s hard to get everything done! I’ve been learning to prioritize rest and time to myself. It’s hard, but it’s important. I’ve also been trying out audiobooks lately, which I can listen to while I do other things like dishes, driving, etc. Maybe give them a shot!
You’re welcome! I’ve always liked reading these emails but haven’t ever taken the time to respond so I thought I might start. đ
Ooh yes you should, it’s an incredible story and very engaging too! Wilson is amazing; his fiction and nonfiction alike is to die for! Yeah I’m not very far into her book but it has been very highly recommended to me and so I can tell why!
Haha a glutton for pain…yeah pretty much lol. I’ve only read Romanov but I really want to read her other books! I hear they’re just as good. *starts rethinking my next read*
Agreed. Yeah I should look into that, I generally prefer to READ read XP but you gotta do what you gotta do. Thanks for the suggestion! <3
Aw, well, I’m so glad you did! It’s so much fun getting to chat with you!!
I’ll have to keep an eye out for more of his stuff then!
The one I finished recently was called Out of Time, and I do highly recommend it! I bought books 2 & 3 the night I finished the first one XD But I think I’m going to read Romanov first. *whispers dooooo it!*
Soooo true! I have always been the same! I’d much rather have an actual, physical book in my hands, and one I can pass my eyes over the words. But I’ve found audio books particularly useful for rereads since I already know the story. And, they work for this busy season pretty well. And, I still get to do SOME physical reading. Just not as much as I used to or would like to.
Me too! <3
Yes, if you get the chance, snatch you a copy of something by him. It's high-class stuff.
Yesss I've been looking at the Out of Times series longingly for quite a while now… Ooh that's a hard choice between continuing the series or reading Romanov. But Romanov will be an easy read so it probably won't take too long (we'll just leave the events of life out of the equation XP) Okay! Deal. I just bought A Time to Die!! XDD *whispers I didddd it!*
Okay, I'm excited now.
Ahhhh yay!!! You have to tell me when you read it! I need to talk about it!!! XD
My writer friends are finishing up Romanov (and it’s a standalone), so my goal is to try to zip through that one so I can chat with them about it!
Ikkk! I can’t wait now! XD I’m almost done reading Unbroken and when I’m done I’ll start A Time to Die.
Cool! It’s so fun sharing love for books! <3
Eep! Yay! And yes! Needing out over great books is THE BEST!
