Ooh ooh! Guys, I actually really like these. Like inordinately. XD
Alright, as a review, here goes!
What is WWW Wednesday?
WWW Wednesday is a book meme originally created by A Daily Rhythm and revived by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, simply answer the following questions every Wednesday:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
And, like I said, I think I’ll just start with once a month to see how tenable this is. The idea is for a quick, easy post that keeps you guys in the loop and me involved on a regular basis!
So, without further ado, here is our third WWW Wednesday!
WWWednesday #3
What are you currently reading?
Right now, I’m reading several devotional books with my women’s Bible study group at church. Uninvited: Living Loved When You Feel Less Than, Left Out, and Lonely by Lysa TerKeurst.
Thoughts: I’m about four chapters in and enjoying it so far. Lysa touches on deep areas in our soul that are so sensitive to prodding, and she does it with grace and understanding. I like her casual tone and her vibrant examples.
What did you recently finish reading?
I recently finished A Crown of Snow and Ice: A Retelling of the Snow Queen by Melanie Cellier, the third book in her Beyond the Four Kingdoms series. You can check out my reviews of her Four Kingdoms books here on GraceBought!
Thoughts: Look at that cooovvveeerrr!!! I’m a huge fan of the Snow Queen in general, and I enjoyed this rendition of it. I’m excited to move on in the series and read the next book, but I’m also really glad that Cellier chose The Snow Queen for one of her books, and Celine fits this so well!!
What do you think you’ll read next?
Well, I’m torn between two options. On one hand, I’d like to move on and read A Dream of Ebony and White: A Retelling of Snow White by Melanie Cellier and on the other hand, I’m thinking about going back to Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger to read book three, Everblaze.
Thoughts: I’m not a big Snow White fan, but like I’ve mentioned before, I’ve read some great retellings. I trust Cellier and I’m sure hers is going to be fantastic. I’m also super stoked to read the book that comes after A Dream of Ebony and White cause it’s a Swan Princess story! And I love the Swan Princess (plus the cover is to die for!!).
But I really do enjoy the KOTLC series and definitely want to catch up on those! So, I’m in a pickle. What do you guys think??
~~~
Well, that’s a wrap for this WWW Wednesday! Let me know what you think of the new idea below!
Have you read any of the books above? What did you think? What books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading?
Until next time!
Oh dear. Both, please. (Alhough Dream would probably be faster to read first, and Keeper is harder to keep different pieces in your head for, so the more uninterrupted you can continue to read Keeper, the better. Though that works both ways
There’s only Dream and one more, so it would be fewer books to go through…
Have you decided? 🙂
*hides* no! But I don’t have a copy of Keeper yet, so, I may go with Dream for convenience. Or the devotional I’m working on. 🤔
