Hey, guys! So, I haven’t posted very consistently on Wednesdays in the past. And, if I’m honest, I haven’t posted my usual Thoughts on Thursdays consistently lately either. However, I found this cool post by Jenna at Bookmark Your Thoughts a while back, and I loved it so much I decided I wanted to try, too.

I think I can manage to do these at least on a regular basis, perhaps once a month. I do have a couple of Author Spotlights planned out for the future–if you’ll recall those are posted on the first Wednesday of the month when I do them–but I haven’t gotten around to them just yet. The third week of the month, I reserved for writing snippets. While I don’t have any of those lined up for the moment, I’ll try to look into it. I’m hoping to carve out a little more time for the blog, but we’ll just see how life goes. 🙂 It may be a few months, given the part time job I just picked up, but I’m going to try to be intentional about this either way.

So, in anticipation for our new WWW Wednesdays, let me give you guys the scoop!

What is WWW Wednesday?

WWW Wednesday is a book meme originally created by A Daily Rhythm and revived by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, simply answer the following questions every Wednesday:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

And, like I said, I think I’ll just start with once a month to see how tenable this is. The idea is for a quick, easy post that keeps you guys in the loop and me involved on a regular basis!

So, without further ado, here is our first WWW Wednesday!

WWWednesday #1

What are you currently reading?

At the moment, I’m working through a book I was given over the summer for a professional development book study (I’m a teacher), titled Awakened: Change Your Mindset to Transform Your Teaching. It’s a non-fiction book designed to help teachers live with less stress and cultivate a more positive, everyday mindset.

Thoughts: I’ve enjoyed the book thus far. I was pleasantly surprised by this since it was for PD, but I like how down to earth the writer is and how relatable her stories are.

What did you recently finish reading?

Just the other day, I finished Kaylin Lee’s Betrayed: Ruby’s Story, the fifth book in her Destined series, and a reimagining of The Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale. I just love this gorgeous cover!

Thoughts: Stay tuned! You can find my thoughts on the first book here. Monday, I published the review of the second book, and I will publish my reviews of the subsequent books in the following weeks.

What do you think you’ll read next?

While the start of school brings far less time to read for pleasure, Hunted: Alba’s Story was just released this past weekend, so I am definitely planning to dig into this one asap!

Thoughts: I find the title for this one kind of intriguing. It’s a retelling of Snow White, not one of my favorite tales (but I’ve found I enjoy retellings of it more than the original tale, so hopes are high!). I do like the dark green in the cover a lot, and I’m looking forward to finally reading the twins’ tales!

Well, that’s a wrap for the first WWW Wednesday! Let me know what you think of the new idea below!

Have you read any of the books above? What did you think? What books are you currently reading, looking forward to, and what have you recently finished reading?

Until next time!
